Audition Announcement

For The Promise in Glen Rose 2020

We are seeking:
Men and Women 15-40 years old; Strong intermediate to advanced level dancers with anointed stage presence. You must be a quick study, possess a good work ethic and passion to use your skill in an environment that seeks to use dance as an expression of worship and praise.  This is a paid position. 

Rehearsal and Performance Dates:
August 1,8, 15, 22  9am-9pm  Tech Week: August 24-28
Performances: Every Friday and Saturday Night August 29 through November 7 

How to Apply:
Submit the following:
Promise Application form
Basic Measurement form
Recent Headshot
Recent Full Body Shot (dance pose in modest attire but revealing your lines)

Auditions will be via VIDEO SUBMISSION:
Short video clips that display your strengths as a dancer. Be sure to include:
Turns: pirouettes of choice but at a minimum outside pirouettes and Chaîné turns
Leg extensions: battements in 3 directions-front, side, & back
Facial expressions: joyful, worshipful, and passionate moments
Include the following styles: folk, musical theater, contemporary, and lyrical (not full length choreography- minimum of 32 counts of movement, no more than a minute in each category ) We need to see the diversity of your movement and expressions in this video as you present technique and choreography.

About The Promise in Glen Rose:
The Promise is a one-of-a-kind musical production performed annually since 1989.  It combines a 150-person cast and crew, live animals, historically accurate costumes, and an award winning musical score,  all of which tell the story of the life of Jesus Christ in a modern family-friendly fashion. It seats more than 3,200 patrons and is the only outdoor venue in America with a 45,000-gallon moat and rain curtain.
