General Ticket Information

Upper and Lower Sections B/C/D are reserved seating. Sections A/E are General Admission. A discount of $10 per ticket applies to group orders of 15 or more. $5 per ticket discounts for children, seniors and military/veterans.

Ticket prices range from $30 – $45, depending on the seating section you choose.  Please see the Buy Tickets for seating sections and prices.

Tickets may be reserved by visiting our online Box Office by clicking the Buy Tickets tab, or by calling 254-897-3926.  You may also purchase tickets the evening of the performance at the ticket window based on availability.

Additional Selections: After you choose your tickets, click “Continue Shopping” to add one or all of the following items, or look for the combo deals while ordering your tickets!

  • The Promise Brown Bag Dinner – BBQ Sandwich, Chips, Drink of your choice, and Cookies for dessert!  Your dinner comes wrapped up in a brown bag for your convenience! Dinners are $10 per person. Includes a 10% off voucher to be used in our gift shop.
  • Parking – Parking at Texas Amphitheatre is $10 per vehicle. Buses and motorcycles park free
  • Backstage Tours- get a behind the scenes glimpse of what it takes to make The Promise happen!  $5 per person. Tours begin at 6:40 pm
  • Show Cancellation Insurance: offers full refund in the event of cancellation by The Promise for any reason. $3 per ticket.

Clergy Passes

We’re blessed to offer full time ministry staff a Clergy Pass, granting free admission to the holder and one guest to The Promise during the 2018 season. For more information, or to apply by phone, please call our box office at (254) 897-3926.

Group Ticketing

We sincerely thank you for choosing The Promise for your next group event! Group orders at The Promise are classified as 15 or more tickets purchased in one transaction. Groups of 15+ paid guests are eligible for an additional two complimentary show tickets. Advance reservations are highly recommended for group purchases, as our best seats go quickly..

Will The Promise be performed any other time during the year?

Please visit our website frequently for other exciting events planned for The Texas Amphitheater in 2019.

Where do I park, and is there a charge?

There is a $10 per vehicle parking fee the Texas Amphitheater. Buses of 15+ and motorcycles park free. You may pay in advance when you reserve your ticket, or at the gate with cash. Handicap parking is available.

Do you offer refunds? What happens if it rains?


Cash refunds are not offered on tickets, meals, or merchandise purchases.  If you cannot attend a performance, please call us within 72 hours of your performance date, and we will be happy to move your reservation to another performance date, one time, free of charge. If a show is canceled because of weather, you will receive a comeback pass for any other night during the season. You may also purchase cancellation insurance to receive a full-refund if the show is cancelled for any reason.

I received or won a certificate that entitles me to tickets. What do I do?

Call the box office at 254-897-3926.  We will then reserve tickets for the desired performance(s). Tickets are subject to availability.  The Promise in Glen Rose cannot guarantee seats to a particular performance that have not been reserved. Please be sure to fill in the bottom right hand section of the certificate before bringing it to the box office.

What if I arrive late for a performance?

As a courtesy to our other patrons, latecomers may be seated in a designated section until intermission, at which time they may take their reserved seats.  Refunds are not offered, so please anticipate arriving ahead of time.

May I bring in food or drinks?

Please refrain from bringing in outside food and drink. There is a concession stand open during the performances with bottled water, soda, candy, hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, and more!

Is my child old enough to attend a performance?


Only you can know if your child will be able to sit through the performance without disrupting you or others. Use your best judgment when bringing a child to the theater. We also advise that there are certain scenes in THE PROMISE which may be disturbing for very young children.

I received a Complimentary Ticket card. Is this my ticket?

No. This is only a voucher redeemable for a ticket.  You must call the box office to reserve your ticket. Please be sure to inform the box office staff that you are redeeming a voucher when you call to reserve.   This card must be brought to the box office with the back portion filled out completely to exchange for your tickets.

What time should I arrive for a performance?


The gates at The Texas Amphitheater will open at 6:30pm for seating.  Backstage tours begin at 6:40pm. Our Pre-Show entertainment, which is included in your ticket price, will begin at 7:15pm, and the performance of The Promise will begin promptly at 8pm.

How long is the performance?

The approximate run time of the show is 2 hours and 15 minutes. There is a 15 minute intermission.

Do you have seating for patrons who are disabled?

Yes, The Texas Amphitheater offers handicapped seating in the back of lower sections A, B, C, D, and E.  The handicapped spaces are accessible by a ramp from the main entrances and offer an excellent view of the stage.

May I take photographs or record a performance?

The Promise has on site photographers from Culver Photography that take hundreds of professional photos each evening that are FREE for our patrons to use as they wish!  We encourage our patrons to take photos or videos under 1 minute to share on social media. However, please do not be distraction to others by using flash, or lighted screen/viewfinders. To view professional, free to use photos from your performance, please visit www.PromisePictures.com.

I would like to give my time to help The Promise. How do I get involved?

The possibilities are endless. You can help in the pre-production process or work during the show itself. We can put you on a mailing list to receive e-mail notices from the theater when we do clean-up or organizational days. You can usher the night of a performance and see the show for free. There is much more you can do, and we appreciate your ideas on ways you or others can pitch in. Call or e-mail the office with your interests, and we will make sure that you are referred to the appropriate person.

How can I become a member of the cast/crew?


Auditions for The Promise are held each Spring. Please call 254-897-3926 or email info@thepromiseglenrose.com for information and to reserve an audition time.  You may also keep an eye on the website or join our email list for notification of auditions. Applications for production staff and crew are also received each season.
