In 2013, The Promise celebrates 25 years at the breathtaking Texas Amphitheatre in Glen Rose! Based on Scripture and hailed as one of the most powerful stage experiences ever produced, The Promise in Glen Rose remains unmatched in size, scope, and majesty. No typical Passion Play, the two-hour production spans the entire life of Jesus from the prophets who foretold His coming to His glorious Ascension in the clouds. The 25th season brings new special effects, stunning voices, and a moving experience of the heart that you will never forget.

1989. An award-winning score, a cast of 100-plus professional
performers, authentic costumes, and stunning live vocal performances
have set The Promise apart for a quarter-century.
The
Promise performs annually in the 3200-seat Greco-Roman outdoor
amphitheatre located in the heart of Glen Rose, Texas. Share a special
season with us under beautiful starry skies. Since its opening
performance in November 1989, The Promise has moved thousands at the
Kremlin Palace in Moscow, Russia and the Olympic Stadium in Seoul, Korea
and played for 7 years in Branson, Missouri.
Be our special
guest for a Commemorative Weekend on Fri/Sat evening on September
27-28. If you saw the production in its early years or know anyone who
did, invite them to come that weekend when original cast members will
spend a few moments prior to the performance taking questions and
sharing memories with the audience. Also, several original members will
perform their original roles as well.
